My dad was Lawrence O'Brien, born 21 January 1922 some where in Tipperary, to Patrick and Josephine O'Brien. He had a brother James (I think older) and a sister Roselyn (younger?).
Josephine O'Brien died in late 1920s or early 1930s and Lawrence and James were sent to live in England, whilst Roselyn remained with her father Patrick O'Brien.
Does anyone know anything about them?

Looked at the civl birth index for Laurence but cannot find an entry for 1922 there are two possibilities for other years 1920 Tipperary registration District (South Tipperary) and 1925 Thurles reg. district (Mid Tipperary) do you have a birth cert or know Josephine O'Brien's birth surname? It would help to find the correct birth record that will give some more clues.

Hi, I have seen your message and wonder if I can help. I am helping a cousin find information about hs mother who was a Josephine O'Brien (Formerly Boyleson)' from Ireland. I was looking at the births in England for O'Brien with mother's maiden name Boyleson and have James born 1920', Lawrence 1922 and Rosalind B in 1924 but not in Ireland they were born in England. This would fit your Dad's birth date. Seems too much of a coincidence . I think I may have found marriage for Rosalind. Desperately seeking info on mother Josephine.
