I'm currently stuck on trying to find (amongst many many things) where, if anywhere, was my gg grandfather Barre Beresford HYNDMAN was buried. From the GRONI death record which I have, we know he died (age 69; on 30 March 1876) at his brother Henry's farm in Carnamuff (GPS: 55.0310, -7.0700), but we cannot track any burial site for him. We've found that his brother Henry (and Henry's family) are all buried in the St Canice's CI cemetery in Eglinton, but there's no indication that Barre was buried anywhere near there.
Barre had been living with his wife in Donemana/Dunnemanagh, Co Tyrone, but appears to have gone to his brother, possibly to be looked after in his last days, as his wife (second wife - who was 15-16 years older than him) Jane, died in Donemana only two months after him (she was 86, so I imagine she was too sick to look after Barre...). That's my guess.
As Barre died a couple of years before any of his brother's family, and because he wasn't at that time living in the Carnamuff/Eglinton/Ballykelly area, possibly nobody worried about setting up a gravestone for him. But presumably he was buried somewhere, and if so, wouldn't there be a record of the burial somewhere, even if there were no headstone?
Hmmm. Any suggestions?

There is also a marriage in 1899 for a James Hyndman-Dunn to Rachel Hyndman-Dunn.
Griffiths Valuation 1860 has a Barry Hyndman of Stonyfalls, Donagheady.
The Flaxgrower's List 1796 has a James Hyndman in the Parish of Leckpatrick.
I have found an entry on Family Search for Barrie Beresford Hyndman's death in 1876 at Limavady in the Registration District of Limavady, age 69, (est yob 1808), Vol 6 Page 485. Jane's death is also listed.
In the PRONI Guide to Church Records there are 11 references to Limavady for Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist & Reformed Presbyterian, but none for Church of Ireland. https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/sites/default/files/d7_files/publications/Guide_to_church_records.pdf
There would only be a record of the burial if the records still existed.

Very cool - thanks for that detective work. Most of those I have checked out but some remain possibilities but as yet unproven.
(1) marriage
Yes, I have his marriage details from GRONI and these are posted on my web site. Barre had already had a "natural" child in 1842 (William - my great grabndfather) but for some reason, as yet unknown, he married Jane LIGHTON 4 years later.
I can find no details for Anne/Annie STEWART (at least, none which I can "prove" she is the "right" one), but either she died or was sent away. In either case, their son William was sent to live for a time with Barre's brother Henry in Carnamuff (we can track Henry easily - death, gravestone, etc), so I imagine that Barre felt unable to care for William.
Jane was 15 or 16 years older than Barre when they married in 1846, so I wonder is she was at that time a widow, but I can find nothing that might suggest this. Who knows.
(2) DUNN family - Rachel Hyndman DUNN was named after her grandmother Rachel HYNDMAN, but I can't find any linkage to my HYNDMANs. Same name, but if linked, then will be reasonably distant.
(3) Griffiths Valuation 1860 has a Barry Hyndman of Stonyfalls, Donagheady = yes, I have this.
(4) The Flaxgrower's List 1796 has a James Hyndman in the Parish of Leckpatrick = I cannot find any logical link to my HYNDMANs - Same name, but if linked, then will be reasonably distant.
(5) deaths = yes, I have both the GRONI and newspaper details of these.
Sorry but no linkage to the Robinsons (at least, not that I have come across).
This detetctive work is very more-ish but soooooo time-consuming !
