I am looking for the birth city of my Eliza Jane Emmens. Eliza Jane Emmens was born in Northern Ireland in 1841. I do not what date Eliza Jane Emmens immigrated to the New York City area.
Eliza Jane Emmens married John Lilliss in New York City. John Lilliss was born in Northern Ireland in 1832. John and Eliza Lilliss had a son, George Lilliss. My George Lilliss was born in 5/17/1867 in Manhattan, New York.
Eliza Jane Emmens Lilliss died 9/15/1867 at the age of 26.

Emmens is a slightly unusual name. Have you tried checking for the name on the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) or the later Griffith's Valuation (1848-64)? The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38): Microfilm copies of the books for all of Ireland are available at the National Archives of Ireland (NAI) http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/tithe-applotment-books-and-the-primary-griffith-valuation/ or the Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS). Griffith's is freely available here: www.askaboutireland.com or here: www.failteromhat.com Failte Romhat has lots of other useful links you could try looking at.
