Looking for any information on the Arthur P Hunt (1778-1864) and Mary Lane family from Drumcannon Parish.  Any information is welcome.  I have seen that the parish census records may have survived the 1922 PROI fire.  Any searchable census records available for 1821, 1831, or 1841?

There are no surviving 1821, 1831, 1841 census records for Co. Waterford. Some records for Waterford are available for 1851 but none in Drumcannon parish. www.census.nationalarchives.ie

I looked at the 1850 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Drumcannon parish. There were a number of Hunt entries including two Arthur P. Hunt Esq. entries.

I located an 1865 civil death index record for an Arthur Powel Hunt.Possibly this is your ancestor.

  • Yes, that's him. Thank you. I have seen those 2 entries. I also saw one for his will, but the only info on that was the name of it's executor. No info about his family that I can find. I'm specifically trying to tie him to William John Hunt (1816-1863) who I believe to be his son, and who died near London, Ontario.

I assume your family was Church of Ireland. Maybe you can contact the church to see what records they have. I did not find anything on Roots Ireland.
