Hello,

My family has a headstone dating back to 1860.
The first name on it is William K. White.
Born in Tallow, Waterford in 1811/1812.
He died in Boston Ma in JUNE of 1860.

My great-great-great-grandmother was:
Honora W. White, born sometime between 1830 and 1835.
Married Michael Flynn/O'Flynn in Boston in 1856
Died in 1902 in Boston MA

From what I have found on ancestry.com and familysearch.org her parents were Michael White and Honora (Nora) O'neil and she had a sister Grace White born in 1839.

I have yet to figure out how William K. White is related to Honora W. White, and why we all have the same bural plot. I'm looking for any help on this

Thank you!

Perry

  • Hi Perry

There is 1 record of a baptism of Honora White in Waterford on www.rootsireland.ie/

It is 1845 but the parish is not Tallow & the father isn't Michael & mother isn't Honora

There is a record of the baptism of Grace White in 1830 and the parish is Tallow

Her father was Michael but mother not Honora or O'Neil

There is no record of the marriage of Michael & Honora O'Neil

William White's baptism 1812 is also there but the parish is not Tallow

You need to purchase credit to view the records on rootsireland

In the Tithe Applotments (free to search online) 1823-37 there are 53 Whites in Waterford 5 of whom are in Tallow but no Williams

In Griffiths Valuation 1848-64 also free to search there are 258 Whites in Waterford but none in Tallow

Not sure if any of the above helps clarify your conundrum Perry
