James Walsh and wife Margaret "Corbett" Walsh had a son Peter Walsh born May 1824, possibly in Old Ross, Wexford. He immigrated to the US, at age 28, through Baltimore, MD in 1852.
Peter married Catherine O'Keefe(r) born about 1834, probably married in Old Ross Catholic Church then immigrated to the US, possibly with Peter in 1852. Children were born in Maryland, USA.
Any family information is greatly appreciated.

There is no Catholic church actually in Old Ross, but try these web sites for the churches in that parish. RATHGAROGUE CHURCH, CUSHINSTOWN CHURCH and TERRERATH CHURCH. Records may not go back far enough for you but somebody there may be able to help. Good luck with search. Have you searched the TITHE APPLOTMENT lists from the National Archives (now on line) and at least you may find family names, search for "Corbett" as well as this is a more unusual name, as possibly the maiden name of one of the ladies.
