I am researching the Furlong family of Ross. My records go back to 1750 and I suspect that your records are linked to my EKA - FURLONG James 1788-1865  Died Mar. 22, 1865 in Placentia, Newfoundland.

I have a William Furlong who was a mariner and shopkeeper in the area circa 1750. I also have evidence that the family originated in Ross and reason to believe that the following Wiilliam and John are ancestors of William; probably his father and his grandfather respectively.

“John the son of William Furlong was baptized December the 16th 1714”

Is anyone doing a family tree research project on your end for the Fulong surname and if so would they please contact me at pspearns@yahoo.com? This is my paternal grandmother's family.

Thank you.
