My great, great grandmother Winifred Seymour (1837-1920) came to Australia in 1858 and shortly after married Thomas Peter O'Brien (1836-1924) who was on the ship she came out on. Her parents were John Seymour and Margaret Purcell.Winifred & Tom settled around Boorhaman, Victoria and there are numerous descendants.

Her uncle Malachi Seymour (1812-1892) came to Australia in 1842, settled and did well. He married Margaret Clifford (1824-1869) from Tiperary, Ireland. Margaret was the daughter of James Clifford and Mary O'Brien who also came to Australiua (he may have been a convict) along with her sister Alice (Alicia)(1808-1872). Alice married the convict Samuel Chevins and their daughter Mary (1843-1934) married William O'Brien (1859-1931) son of above Winifred & Tom O'Brien and are my great grandparents.

Malachi sponsored Winifred and her siblings John, Bridget, Patrick and Jeremiah and their cousin Jeremiah (son of Dennis & Mary McGrath) over a 30 odd year period.

Today there are thousands of descendants, many in North Eastern Victoria and I am in touch with many of them.

Any info on above families or their ancestors would be greatly appreciated
