Hi
My name is Heather & i am looking for my partners relations that come from the Kilkenny area. My partners father was Patrick John Morrissey b16/07/1924 in Skeough Callan Kilkenny & died 21/08/1967 in Dewsbury West Yorkshire, his father was John (Sean) Morrissey b1885 who died Sept 1958 in Chichester Sussex he married in June 1919 in Callan to Margaret Durney b1892 in Callan Kilkenny . The Durney's were a well known family in the Callen area. John & Margaret Morrissey also had another son called William Joseph Morrissey b11/08/1921 who married Hilda Mary Evans in Apr 1943 in Pembroke South Wales & died in 1992 in Pembroke Dock South Wales. Any help would mean a great deal to us.
Kind Regards
Heather

Hi sir sadly i could not find any information on them but i have made a list of web sites that you mite be luckly in your seach good luck.
The National Archives of Irelandhttp://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/ The National Library of Irelandhttp://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx The National Archives UK ? genealogy search:http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/looking-for-person/ Irish Newspaper Archives:http://www.irishnewsarchive.com/ SURNAME SEARCHYou can check for information about the frequency of the name in the mid-19thcentury and any other variant spellings of the name here: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/ The next thing you could do is find the counties and places in Ireland your family names are mostprevalent. Look at the website http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/ and perhapssomething will match some other clue you may have found elsewhere? If nothing turnsup ? it is advisable to try different variations of the spellings of the names. If you have a possiblefirst name you could try the Irish Census 1901, 1911 at www.census.nationalarchives.ie/ or the landvaluation record called Griffiths Valuationhttp://askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml
