I am searching for any information on a Mathew Doris, who was my husband's great-great grandfather. He was a Roman Catholic priest and decided to renounce the clergy and emigrate to New York around 1840. I believe he married a woman named Anne or Ann McGuire. Any information about him would be most welcome indeed! My husband and I went to Newtownforbes a month ago looking for any Doris family members. Many thanks,

there was a Patrick Doris, Cornollen, Longford parish of Clonguish who is buried in the new Cemetary, Newtownforbes. He would be about 80 years old, if alive now.
He was an only son and a batchelor.
