Hi Anybody out there researching the Surname "Collum".If so has anybody got Christian names Like Thomas, Archibald ,Thomas, James or Hugh. My 2nd Great-Grandad.Was called John Collum and came from fermanagh N.I and born 1834. He had 2 brothers Thomas and Archibald and a sister called Ann.All born between 1830 -1838.The father name was stated as John.The 3 brothers and sister came to Blackburn in England around 1850's.I would like to know where their parents lived and did the brothers and sister have any more siblings. Also is their any links to Perth in Scotland.Is there a 1841 census in either in CountyAntrim and Fermanagh. Hope you can help out there .

  • The 1841 Irish census was destroyed in a fire in Dublin in 1922. Some fragments survive and are on the site below, but the vast majority of the census is lost:

    The site will also tell you where Collums were living in Fermanagh in 1901 & 1911. (There were 60). It is still found in the county today.

  • The Fermanagh Gold website has transcriptions of many Church registers and other documents.

    Do a search for Collum - not forgetting variant spellings.
