After years of searching, i finally found the parish (Tawnagh) where my gg-grandfather James Patrick O'Boyle was born and raised. James's parents were Patrick O'Boyle and Ellen Morrison, and they had at least 4 other children: Ellen (married Thomas McLaughlin), Bridget (married Thomas Davey), Michael (married Mary Doogan) and Catherine (married Patrick Mulvany).
James, Bridget and Ellen eventually emigrated to Chicago, Illinois. I've researched the Chicago lines to some extent, but am disconnected from the Tawnagh relations who might still be in Sligo.
P.S. James married Anne Sheran from County Roscommon in Chicago in 1876.

Hi I am from Riverstown Co Sligo in the old Parish of Tawnagh , There were O Boyle families in this area My dads brother john married a Margaret O Boyle from Sooey She is listed as living in Riverstown in 1911 census and working as a seamstress . She also had a brother John who never married,..There was other cousins of my dad who sent his father ,my grandfather tools from America circs 1920 also called John O Boyle who had relatives at Branchfield Drunfin Co Slgo
