Hi Roger indicated the records available and it appears it will be difficult to find out more as records may not exist.

When you message first appeared I happened across a report in the Examiner newpaper here online, it is a national newspaper printed in Cork the only national paper not printed in Dublin. The State Solicitor involved in a court report was a Nyhan in Cork so I Googled the name and got a large number of hits in the general Cork area, including a priest, and oddly an industrial park called Nyhan Industrial Estate. 

THe main sites to look at in your area at the time are limited and Roger looked in the Tithe Applottments and after that Griffiths Valuation in 1848 to 1864 may help otherwise you are dependent on whatever church records exist.

I also checked the Cobh Heritage Centre and they have a genealogy service for €30 but only indicate what records are available but may be worth a shot if they have local records not available online.

Hi Again

followed on from the Cobh query and just realised that Drinagh is in West Cork and Cobh is in south or south east Cork,the parish registers Roger indicated do go back to the 1817 times for that parish but not necessarily the best or easiest read.
