I'm trying to find a marriage between a Mary and a Mr Derby between 1797 and 1801. I have the 1821 census and that has her oldest son down as Pat but no father on the census, her eldest child Mary not on the census is in England. I can't find any birth records and I'm trying to find the fathers name or the mothers maiden name. Any help would be appreiciated.

Is the 1821 census you mention the Irish census? Can you post a copy? I don't see a Pat Derby in the 1821 census in Co. Meath. What was the religfious denomination. It is very likely that we won't find the marriage record.

Thank you for the responce but I think I've posted in the wrong group. They were from Kilbride, County Down not Kilbride Meath as I originaly thought.
