I am looking for information on the John Corr family. There is confusing information about birthplaces and I was hoping for some clarification. John married ?? about 1838, They had a son, Patrick, born in Caledon or Dungannon around 1839- is this the same parish? The address on Patrick's marriage record to Margaret McGhee (1858) is Aughnacloy. They had 7 children all born in Aghaloo, although some records say Armagh parish. Are these all the same places?
I would like to know who John married and believe his father was John as well. The occupation listed on Patrick's marriage cert for John is "Slater". If possible I would like to know the elder John's spouse and children.

Caledon is in the parish of Aghaloo. Dungannon is a separate parish. So either some of the information is inaccurate or the family moved about. Either is feasible.
Aghaloo is almost exclusively in Co. Tyrone (One townland is in Co Londonderry). So Aghaloo and Armagh are not the same place. Again the explanation may be that the family had moved. You haven’t said what Patrick’s occupation was but his father’s occupation of “slater” was one that involved moving with available work.
Statutory birth registration only started in Ireland in 1864. Prior to that you need to rely on church records. I assume the family was RC. Have you checked the RC parish records for Aghaloo? The baptisms start in 1846, marriages in 1832. RC parish records are on-line free on the National Library site:
