Hello
I will be spending a few weeks in Mayo and Galway in October 2018--I hope to find what happened to my Grandmothers brothers Michael born 1876, Thomas born 1879, and Patirck born 1886 in Hollywell, Ballyhaunis Mayo to Stephen and Mary (Mitchell) O'Malley who were married 4 October 1875--I will be visiting Saint Patrick's Church in Ballyhaunis
Then I hope to visit Gort Galway where my Grandfather Edward Joseph O'Malley was from --he emigrated to hartford in 1907
Any leads gratefully accepted

Hello. Does that mean both your grandparents were born O'Malley in 2 different counties? Did they marry after they left Ireland?

Hello Margot
I did visit Ballyhaunis in October this year---did not locate information on Patrick, Thomas and Michael O'Malley but just did check the marriage certificate of Stephen and Mary (Mitchell) O'Malley Married 4 October 1875 and as you found they had been living in the US--Stephen in Springfield Illinois and Mary Mitchell lived in Westchester PA--This is totally new to me so I will have to pursue this further--I never thought they left Ireland, but who knows????
Thanks very much for directing me to this information --will try and find out if it's true or not
best wishes for a lovely Holiday
