I am the great great granddaughter of Bridget and Coleman Malone.   They immgrated to Graceville Minnesota in 1880 as a part of the Catholic Church's program with Archbishops John Ireland and Archbishop Nugent.   Any help would be appreciated.  I have completed a DNA profile and match with Flatery's

  • Hi, I see the baptism of a Coleman Malone in the parish of Spiddal, Galway in 1866 on the 16th Sept. The address is Tonecrick, the father is Peter and the mother is Honor Faherty, witnesses are Patrick & Honor Faherty.

The civil records commence in 1864 and you should find them here, a free site but sign in, click on civil as the church records on the site do not include Galway as yet. https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/

The parish register is here and can be searched but only by event, month and year and then read. https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0641 Records start late in this parish. The area is I think gaelic speaking so they may have used the Gaelic language as their first language.

    Good Luck

    Pat
