I am looking for some of the the baptisms of my 3 x great grandfather Terence O'Donnell's children.  The only information that I have is that they came from Cashel in County Tipperary. I have five out of the ten children's baptisms which are: Thomas October 1821; Honora August 1826; Michael September 1830; Bridget March 1833 and Jerry/Terry January 1836 all in the Diocese of Cashel and Emly.  The other ones that I have been unsuccessful with are:  John born about 1815; Hugh 1817; Terence 1819;  Patrick 1823; Benjamin 1825.  All are approximate dates of birth. Parents names are Terence O'Donnell born abt 1783 (he was a butcher) and Mary Hickey (born abt 1789) and were married abt 1815.  I have been looking on the online parish registers of the NLI.  My 3 x great grandfather was in Ballybricken, Tullamaine, Tipperary in 1828 and in 1846 was working at "The Shambles" in Main Street Cashel as a butcher.  Almost all of them came out to Australia from abt 1850 onwards.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in Australia.

  • Hello Margot, yes that is my family. Yes I have been looking at the parish registers but cannot find the five boys John, Hugh, Terence, Patrick and Benjamin. The only information that I have to go on is that they came from Cashel. The other five were in the diocese of Cashel and Emly. The information about Camas Road Cashel is interesting I will have to look into that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou. regards Kerry.

  • Hi Kerry, thanks for replying. I looked in the Tithe records 1823 to 1837 and I see one Terence O'Donnell. http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/results.jsp?… page 2 entry number 2..... http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/reels/tab//004625728/00… Searching the townland and Parish in a map ..... https://www.bing.com/search?q=Ballybricken+Tullamaine+Tipperary+map&qs=… The Baptism of Terence in 1836, I was hoping that the Priest would have added to the address to confirm, but I see these records were in a very busy Parish.
