Mary Ann Hipwell arrived in Australia aged 17yo on 18 Sept 1841 on the ship "Canton" she had embarked from Cork, Ireland on 2 June 1841, she was a free passenger under the Bounty System. Her place of birth is translated as Killyurden, Tipperary, Ireland. I have found no such place found as Killyurden can anyone help with the translation; see the profile picture.
Her Religion was Protestant and she could read but not write.
Her mother Mary Hipwell nee Rawlins was also on the ship "Canton" 1841 and two brothers Robert and George Henry Hipwell as steerage passengers
