I know of a school teacher Blakeney who taught in a primary school in Enniscrone, her daughter was also a school teacher in Dublin
Trying to find any descendants of the Blakeney family. My grandfather was born May 8, 1894, in Enniscrone, Ireland.He migrated to the USA. His parents were Robert Blakeney and Mary (Boyd) Blakeney. I know that according to some residents of Enniscrone when the house was still there, Blakeney's did live there. I have also been told that there is some family still in Enniscrone, possibly Ballina, as well as Dublin. We are making a trip in October and trying to find any family still in the area. I am also trying to figure out the relationship of Walter Blakeney who passed away in 2014 and lived in Enniscrone.
