  • hi,

There were a lot of Armstrongs in Fermanagh in the 1700 and 1800s.

In Griffiths Valuation of 1862 it shows over 100 entries for William Armstrong living in various Townlands and Parishes.

Do you have the name of a Parish or Townland where they lived ??

There were Beattys and Armstrongs in the Parish of Aghalurcher, which is where you have posted your enquiry.

Many of the Scots-Irish emigrated to the US and Canada but there were still hundreds of Armstrongs living in Fermanagh in 1901.

Did the couple marry in Ireland ??

    Did the couple emigrate ??

If they emigrated, did they emigrate together, and where did they go to ??

    Regards,

  • Hi,

Did your William and Norah emigrate to Australia? My 2x great grandmother's parents were William and Norah Armstrong, originally from (I believe) Drumaraw, Fermanagh and ended up in Sydney, Australia.
