I am looking for information on Robert Leonard McGuire who was born in Ogdensberg, NY. He was my Great grandfather but I can’t find anything further back on his Irish heritage. He was born Sept. 10, 1881 and died Nov. 17, 1954.He married Nettie Leone Fetterley June 25, 1907. I will be taking a trip to Dublin Feb. 2017. It would be nice to be able to possibly find some long lost relatives. Robert and Nettie had 2 children, Marion and Lillian. I am trying to find out where his father and mother came from in Ireland but am unable to locate their names. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Without knowing his parents names, we can't determine where you family came from. I assume you located Robert McGuire's death record and his parents names were not listed. Have you looked on Ancestry.com for possible family trees which might include Robert?
You may also want to consider autosomal DNA testing. You may match someone who has more information on the McGuire family.
