I am assisting someone who believes she has a client with relatives from Portacloy, County Mayo. Is there anyone out there who can give me some background information on this area of Mayo.

Portacloy is a 922 acre townland in Kilcommon civil parish in western Co. Mayo. Use Google Maps and you will see where Portacloy is located in northwest Co. Mayo.

In the 1901 census there were 7 houses there containing a total of 36 people. Main occupation was farming.
