Denis EAGAN married Mary RYAN (abt 1830) and.... John MCDONNELL emmigrated to Canada with wife Margaret GRIFFITH and infant son John in 1846-7. We believe at least the Eagans were from Ballina.

  • I can take a look later today. Ballina is in the Kilmoremoy Roman Catholic parish, but I have seen many families listed as being from Ballina when they were from neighboring parishes like Kilfian, Killala, Lacken, Kilcummin, etc. I'll get back to this later today.

  • This can be a good clue. I know from the grave transcriptions (I believe at the goldenlangan website) there were lots of early 19th century Egans in that area, too. (Kilmoremoy) The Ancestry lookup is much appreciated.
