Mayo Day 2019

When: Saturday, 4 May, 2019

​Mayo County Council, Mayo GAA and Elverys have come together for a very special campaign in celebration of one of the best-loved days of the year. This year’s #MayoDay on Saturday 4th May will be celebrated in Mayo, New York and around the globe. To mark the day in a special way, a strictly limited-edition Mayo Day GAA jersey will be worn by our beloved footballers for their first-round championship game against New York in Gaelic Park on Sunday 5th May.

Guided Archaeological Walk of Blanemore Forest with Professor Seamas Caulfield

When: Saturday, 26 August, 2017

“Six thousand years of history lie in this conifer woodland, set on a gravel ridge above the wild and ancient bog-lands of North Mayo. Explore the sacred tombs and field walls of our first farmers. Walk among the mysterious standing stones of the bronze age and sit with the brooding dark beauty of Lough Naweela. This is a unique walk through Blanemore Forest.”

Knock Christmas Fayre

A great family day out for all. We have the most gifted talented local crafters in the West. Santa & his helpers will be on hand to entertain the little ones along with face painting. Entry to venue is free of charge. Proceeds from raffle & Santa's Grotto (€5.00) in aid of St. Vincent de Paul. Looking forward to seeing you all on the day.

Ceol na Locha Summer School

When: Friday, 7 August, 2015

Ceol na Locha Summer School takes place annually the second week of August in the  Coláiste Mhuire Tourmakeady This unique week long event promotes the learning of musical instruments such as  the accordion, flute, tin whistle guitar, banjo, and bodhrán.
