Migrated to/Born in USA

Ann Noonan, daughter of Honora Hehir and (unkn) Noonan of County Clare immigrated to the US (NYC) in 1850 at age 23.  While there she likely met Owen Beirne (Burns in the US).  They married in Providence, Rhode Island on Aug 15, 1852.  When they left for and arrived in California is unknown but local (Sonoma County) history says they came around the horn.  It is also stated that Owen worked in San Francisco before making their way north to Bloomfield, also known as Analy and now Sebastopol.  They also lived near Owen's brother James and his sister Kate Lloyd (nee Beirne).

Ann and Owen had 9 children, Mary Ann (born in CA in 1955), Robert, Thomas, Louis, Eugene, John, Francis, James, and Elizabeth.  They were successful farmers and Burnside Road in Sebastopol is named after them.

Ann died Jan 7, 1898 and is buried in the Tomalas Catholic Cemetery
