Anne (Annie) Wallace was born bef. 7 Oct 1876 (Baptism, St. Joseph, Clifden) in Streamstown area. Parents were Patrick and Bridget Joyce Wallace who lived in this area north of Clifden.  Annie married Patrick Joseph Grogan, son of Michael and Bridget Cunningham Grogan and born bef. 14 Jul 1880 (Baptism at St. Joseph, Rathwire, Westmeath)  on 2 Jun 1903 at St. Joseph, Clifden.  Annie gave birth to eleven children in Clifden, Galway as well Achill Sound R.R. Station.  Her husband, Patrick worked for the railway as a Porter (Achill) and finally at Clifden as Stationmaster.

Their children were as follows:

Michael Joseph(1904), Mary Catherine (1905), Patrick Francis (1906-1911) at Clifden.  Joseph Francis (1908), John Francis (1909), Charles Francis (1910) were born at the Achill R.R. Station.  Bridget Theresa (1913), Honora Winifred (1914), Infant female (1919), Ellen and Anne (1920) were born in Clifden.

The family lived on the Marconi Wireless Station, while Patrick worked at the Power House at Marconi and the children attended the Errislannan school. When the Marconi (Derrygimla) closed due to its partial destruction during the Irish Civil war the family moved into Clifden and lived there until their eventual immigration to Canada in 1926.

The portrait of the family was taken some time in the 1930s in their home in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  

Annie and Patrick celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary and attached is a photo of the couple at that time
