Catherine arrived in Tasmania as a convict onboard the transport "Waverly 2". She was transported with a Life sentence having been convicted and tried in Londonderry on 10 March 1847.
She married English convict John Maggs in Hobart, Tasmania on 12th June, 1850. They had 4 children together - Margaret, Rebecca, William and Elizabeth.
Catherine died in Hobart, Tasmania, aged 66 years, on March 8th, 1885.
