David Eakin was born Abt 1770. We strongly suspect that was in Derry. We believe his father was Samuel.
He appears in the 1831 census in the townland of Letterlogher east of Claudy.
He married Mary McCay.
Two of his siblings and several of his children emigrated to the US in the late 1830s and early 1840s. They mostly ended up in western Pennsylvania.
We have quite a bit of information on these people, and are willing to share.
