Hello,

I am descended from Michael Callaghan (1815-1873 Dublin) and Bridget Hynes/Hinds (1816-? Dublin). I'm wondering if you have possibly done DNA testing? It might be possible that we could be looking at the same couple/father. As far as I know Michael and Bridget's son John married Mary Rodgers had a couple of children then left Dublin and went to New Jersey, America where they raised more children, lived and died. Its possible your ancestor was a sibling of my John-

Hi Susan,

Unfortunately I don't think there is a connection. My Mary Callaghan was born in County Clare abt 1836, parents Michael Callaghan and Bridget Halloran. The family migrated to Australia and she married Peter Henry (my G-Grandfather in 1869).

I have had a DNA test done with Ancestry.
