Michael Lowry was born on or about 29 September 1830. He is believed to have been born in Westmeath, Ireland, the son of Mary and John.
He arrived in the United States around 1850 and settled first in Huntingdon County, PA, and then Columbiana County, Ohio.
He married Bridget Conley and they had five children together. After Bridget's death, he then married Marguerite Lavelle on May 28, 1905, in Salem, Ohio.
He died on June 21, 1928, in Salem, Ohio, at the age of 97, and was buried in Leetonia, Ohio.
