    Dear Susan,

This post on Patrick Ivory lead me to finally discovering my grandmothers family history. My grandmother was Rose Ann, born in Webster County, Iowa. Rose Ivory married Joseph Meyer and lived on a farm west of Clare, IA. Much of the family is buried in the Catholic cemetry west of Clare. As a young child I was on the Meyer farm many times, where my mother was raised. I wonder if the Meyer farm was Patrick Ivory's (my great grandfather) farm?  Get back to me if you have additional information. Thank you, Mark

  • Hi Mark,
I have a lot of info on this family in Massachusetts & Iowa. Been doing genealogy on & off for over 20 yrs. Your Grandma Rose Anna was a sister to my Grandpa Robert James. They were the 2 youngest children of Patrick & Ellen. We're actually having an Ivory reunion this coming weekend. My sister & some cousins are driving out to the farm tomorrow. I'm not able to go with them but I will ask my sister if she knows if the Meyers lived on Patrick & Ellen's farm after they passed. I have been to the cemetery where they are buried & have taken pictures of their tombstones.

To communicate you can email me instead of posting here. sue@kissmygrits.net
Will be waiting to hear from you,
    Sue
