Stayed in Ireland

Thomas James Forgrave was born Presbyterian in Ireland, in about 1811. He was a farmer. He married Margaret Togaraul, in Ireland about 1842. According to Griffiths Valuation 1859, Thomas owned a Halfshare Plot 24, a 16.5 acre crop farm with James Forgrave, who we presume to be a brother. He also owns a quarter share of a 65 acre mountain grazing pasture with Anne and Jane, who we presume are sisters, and James. These farm properties were in Errigal, Derry, Ireland. Lady Garvagh was the landlord. They had children: John James Harvey Forgrave in 1844 who immigrated to Ontario, Canada before 1872; Thomas Forgrave in 1854 who lived in Mettican, Errigal, Derry most of his life and married Mary Jane Mitchell in Aghadowey Presbyterian Church in 1882, and after she passed away, married Leticia Cunningham in the same church in 1890; Robert Forgrave in 1856 and died in Coleraine, Derry as a bachelor in 1916; Jenny Forgrave about 1861 who immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1875; Margaret Elizabeth Forgrave in 1861 who married Knox (John Knox) Hutchinson in Aghadowey Presbyterian Church in 1879 and immigrated to Niles, OH, United States in 1920; James Forgrave in 1867 who immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1985. We believe she likely had children in the 10 years between John and Thomas, but are not able to identify them. Thomas died 10 July 1901 in Cah, Errigal, Derry, Ireland We have not found parental or definitive sibling information for Thomas.
