Thomas Mulligan

Back to List

I am searching for information regarding my great great grandfather Thomas Mulligan who married Bridget Heeny aka Heeney about 1831 - 1832.  I do not have a marriage record and would like to find one so that I might know their parents' names.  They were Roman Catholic.

They had the following children:

1.  Thomas Mulligan - baptized 5 Oct 1832 in the Parish of Dundalk - Address:  Skyhill - Sponsors:  Thomas Garvey & Edward Garvey

2.  Margaret Mulligan - baptized 13 May 1835 in the Parish of Dundalk - Address:  Falmer aka Falmore - Sponsors:  John Norton & Bridget Heeney.

I know nothing else about these two children.  I do not know if they stayed in Ireland or emigrated to the U.S.

3.  James Mulligan (my great grandfather) - baptized 30 Aug 1841 in the Parish of Dundalk - Address Falmore - Sponsors:  Pat Kieran & Bridget Kerly.

4.  Peter Mulligan - baptized 18 Nov 1844 in the Parish of Dundalk - Address:  Falmer aka Falmore - Sponsors:  Peter Heeny & Catharine Dullahan.

These two brothers are known to have resided in New York City, NY, USA at least from about 1868.  They may have fought in the Civil War and may have been in the 61st Regiment of New York Volunteers.

Thomas and Bridget died in New York City as did James and Peter.  I do not have any imigration information on any of them.
