I have already posted this message on the main board and have been given Kate's birth date but hope that local people may have more information on the family.

My wife’s father is Walter Ortmayer and he appears in the 1911 Census at the following address.

House 1 Garrison, Ballymachugh, Cavan.

Donohoe  Mary     Head          79   Widow                              Cavan

                  Patrick   Son            36    Agricultural Labourer    Cavan

Ortmayer Walter  Grandson   16   Scholar                             England

Stones  Mary Jane  Daug         41    Widow                             Cavan

Walter was born in London in 1895, his birth certificate shows his mother has  Kate Ortmayer

nee  Donohoe.    We cannot trace either her birth, marriage or death.  The family are Roman

Catholics.
