I am trying to find out more about Simon Scahill who I beleieve to have been born in Tullamore, Co Offaly, somewhere about 1788, and I believe that I have foud his death there in 1867.
He married Bridget Delahaunty in about 1821 possibly in Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath, and the couple had five children there that I know of between 1821 and 1833 (Patrick Joseph (the first) then, in order, Jane; Marcella; Thomas and Bridget).
All of the children migrated to Australia at various times between 1849 (jane & Marcella) Patrick in 1850 and the other two in 1852.
I have found Simon in the Griffiths Land Valuation Index in Lower Main Street, Kilbeggan but couldn't find him in the actual roll.
I would appreciate any help in trying to fillout the details.
