John Behan(e) was from Bunagara, Listowel and was the son of William and Catherine (Enright) Behan(e). His siblings included Mary, Margaret, Catherine, Thomas, Michael and Julia.
John’s wife – Mary Callahan – was from the neighbouring parish and the couple ended up in Syracuse, NY. John’s sister Julia would also settle in Syracuse and marry John’s brotherin-law.
Family were living still living in Bunagara as of the 1911 census.
