I am looking for any information anyone may have regarding my great grandfather Patrick Conneely b 1873 to Mary and Peter b 1834 or 1837 ( he has 2 different birth years recorded on the 1901 and 1911 census ) .
Patrick married Mary Flaherty b 1882 in 1912 . My grandmother also named Mary but known as Molly was born in 1919. The Conneelys were from Taunaghbawn and Mary Flahertys parents were Michael born 1835 , and Bridget b 1836. They were all still living in 1911 and were resident in Alllienacolly . There is also a John Gorham b 1893 and listed as grandson .
I think that John Gorham may have been the son of Celia Flaherty and her husband Michael Gorham .

Was Peter Conneely related to John who married Mary Burke. The Conneely’s, Burke’s, Cook’s, Malloy’s and Curran ‘s all came from the Carna, Callowfeenish and Ardmore areas. Any of the Sir names connected to your family?

Yes I believe so. There is a Johnny Curran who still lives in the erea I think.
