  • Donie,

What are the birth and death dates of Pakie Hayes and his wife Nancy?  That would help narrow it down for me.

    Thank you,  Maureen O'Brien

  • Pakie Hayes born 1921 died 2007 and his wife Nancy Cusack 1922-2009..Pakies father,Denis died in 1957.Pakie was a great historian and had great family knowledge..His granduncle Jack Hayes married my grand aunt Bridget Ransford in 1894 and they lived in Longstone townland near to Kilteely.

Pakies grandfather was a Patrick Hayes who built a house in Boherroe near Kilteely and this house ,known as Fort View is nw wned by Pakies daughter.

I have a good photo of the headstone in Kilteely Cemetery but cannot uoload iit here . Jack Hayes and my Ransford  ancestors were buried in Dromkeen Cemetery in the same parish  with only a steel cross marking the location. I erected a headstone to their memory there last year.

I could e mail the photos to you if you wish and my e mail is donieosul@gmail.com
