Migrated to/Born in UK

Ellen was my great great grandmother who probably arrived from Ireland (in London) in the early 1830s. She married Jacob Littleboy in 1838.

Ellen lived if Fulham for all her adult life. She and Jacob had five sons and one daughter. One of the sons was my Great Grandfather who went on to become a successful business man in the world of Insurance and a prominent local politician in Fulham. He was the first person to be granted the freedom of the borough in 1929.

My DNA says that my maternal genes have strong connections with South  West Ireland and Ellen was born in Bandon.

Other surnames of ancestors who were born Ireland include Handrahan, Osborne, and Clarke. I have separately registered in the parish of Crossmalina (Co Mayo) where my Clarke ancestors originated.

I plan to tour Cork in May 2024 with my son and would like to know if the Carrell name is still in Bandon.
