Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in Australia

Margaret Slattery was the eldest of six children born to Thomas Slattery and Anne Maher, who were married on 15 Feb 1844 in Clonoulty. The family were living at Piercetown when Margaret was born. The family then moved to Kilmore, Tipperary, where her five siblings were born.

Her Godfather/Sponsor was John Maher, I think he may have been Margaret's uncle at some point immigrated to Sydney, Australia. In 1863, he paid an Immigration Bond for Margaret to sail to Sydney. Margaret arrived in Sydney on 28 January 1864. Her immigration record listed her place of birth as Piercetown, Tipperary.

Margaret Slattery married Joseph Bradwell on 13 November 1868 in Sydney. The wedding certificate states her parents were Thomas Slattery, a farmer, and Annie Maher. One of the witnesses to the marriage was Mary Slattery, who I assume was her younger sister.

Joseph and Margaret had nine children, all born in Sydney. Margaret died in Sydney on 7 July 1932.
