Lived in Patearoa, Maniototo, Central Otago with his Wife Jane and their 8 Children. He also Bought a farm in the Kyeburn area of Maniototo which he Named 'Crieve' after the town he was born in. The 'Crieve' Farm is still going strong today and is Run by his Great, Great grandson David Greer.
