Patrick was born to John Ryan and Mary Glascow, residing at the Windmill in Limerick and later on at 1 Barrack Hill.
He served in WW1 for the Munster Fusillers and was killed in the BAttle of Gallipoli. He is buried in Helles, Turkey.
