Migrated to/Born in USA

Robert A McLaughlin born 16 August 1826 in Ireland.  A baptism record for a Robert McLaughlin occurred in Tamlaght Finlagan in November 1826 could be a match for him.  Migrated to and lived in Philadelphia, PA, USA possibly as early as 1842 but definitely before 1850 since he had a son born in 1850 in Philadelphia PA.  Possibly had a sister Hannah b. 1822 in Ireland who also migrated to Philadelphia, PA.    Robert's firstborn son John Mclaughlin was born abt. 1850 in Philadelphia, PA. His firstborn daughter was either Amanda b. 1848 to a wife named Susan or Elizabeth b. 1853 possibly to Susan.   The only marriage record I have found to his known wife, Mary Ann Clark, did not occur until 1856.    Robert became a Tin Smith and worked on finishing cook stoves and building rooftops, probably making rain gutters and drain spouts.  He may have served in the Civil War.  He did become a citizen of the USA.  He died on 16 January 1897 and was buried in Philadelphia, PA at the Mount Moriah Cemetery.
