  • Hello napliea! I do not know if my Catherine Forde (my 2nd GGM) is related to your Ellen Ford. To date, the only Forde ancestors I have confirmed are Catherine  and her father Darby (my 3rd GGF). I don't know if I have any Forde ancestors who emigrated to the US. I know that Darby Forde did not and I don't believe Catherine did either. Catherine and her husband Patrick Maloney (my 2nd GGF) had many children. Edward Patrick Maloney (my GGF) and two of his sibling were young children when they emigrated to Brooklyn, New York, USA without their parents. They lived with a paternal aunt who raised.them.

  • Thanks for getting back to me Barbara.   I'll keep searching as I have hit a brick wall with most of my Irish ancestors when it comes to the famine years.   Hopefully we can connect the dots and perhaps even be cousins.

    I'll keep you posted.

    Thanks,
