Migrated to/Born in USA

My great-great grandmother, Mary King, was born in August 1844, according to information given for her death record. On a US census record, her daughter Mary stated that Mary and her husband (Thomas Gallagher) were born in Galway. On the death certificate, it was stated that Mary's father was Mark King, and her mother was Mary Flaherty. I have found a baptism record for the baptism of a Mary King on 13 Oct 1844, in Moyculllen, Galway, Ireland; Galway Diocese. The father is given as Mark King. However, the mother is given as Peggy King, so I may need to look further.

Census records indicate that Mary King Gallagher immigrated to USA in 1861.

In 1870, Thomas & Mary Gallagher are listed on the 1870 census in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, along with daughter Bridget (my gr-grandmother, Delia) and son Patrick T.  They had  a third child, Julia.  I do not know if Thomas & Mary were married in Ireland, or in USA.  In 1875, Mary became a widow.  In 1878 Mary was married to John Gallagher (I am told he was a cousin of Thomas), in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  They had a daughter, Mary.

In the early 1900's Mary (& her daughter Mary) followed her daughter Delia (& granddaughter, May Ludwig) to Los Angeles, California, USA.  Mary King Gallagher died there on May 12, 1922.  She was buried at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles, California, on May 15, 1922.
