Patrick was born in County Cork. The family story states he was in the seminary (possibly in France) - dropped out and went to County Dunmore where he was a National Teacher. He was married twice, 1st to Eileen Egan with whom he had a daughter Eleanor Murray who married Thomas Brennan in 1878 - St Nicholas Church, Dunmore, Co Galway. After Eileen passed Patrick married Mariann Mathilda Dwyer on 5 Mar 1859 at St Nicholas Church, Dunmore Co Galway. Patrick and Mariann had 7 children - Thomas, Margaret, Bridget, Sarah, Michael, Martin, Mariann.
Patrick and Mariann are buried in the cemetery on Church Street at the corner of Bridge/Sion Hill - Abbeyland North.
Margaret Murray is my GGandmother - she emigrated to the US where she was married twice, 1st to William Crambert with whom she had a duaghter who passed early and a son. Her husband passed shortly before her son was born in 1892. She married my ggrandfather John Leonard in Chicago Illinois in 1895, they had 4 children, 2 who died before the age of 10yr. The 3 surviving children all married, my grandmother was the only one to have children.
